History:

MMJ Total Health Care was founded by fellow medical cannabis patients in late 2014, as a response to the lack of professionalism and caring in the marijuana industry. The founder, sitting on the other side of the counter, realized there was a large void in the medical part of cannabis medicine. He wanted to offer an experience that both educated and empowered patients to embrace cannabis treatment, and after studying at Oaksterdam University and graduating as a double valedictorian, the founder opened MMJ Total Health Care to serve the Vernon and British Columbia marijuana community.

Offering more of a clinical feel than a drug store environment, MMJ Total Health Care’s Vernon dispensary strives to make everyone feel welcome and safe to ask questions about medical marijuana. Their compassionate dispensary staff takes the time to educate patients on the science behind cannabis, including the Entourage effect and how different strains apply to different conditions. Working with their partnered Hands of Hope Society nonprofit, MMJ Total Health Care has raised $150,000 for veterans, terminal cancer patients, low-income/disability patients, and children with epilepsy. Named #1 Dispensary in British Columbia in 2016 out of more than 600 dispensaries, MMJ Total Health Care’s Vernon facility proudly serves nearly 2000 patients per month and gives them each the respect and attention they deserve.

MMJ Total Health Care carries around 400 various cannabis products, with everything from flower, edibles, and topicals to extracts, drinks, capsules, syringes and concentrates. Approximately 60% of their inventory is created in house, with more than 18 exclusive strains of flower bred for their Vernon location. Their True Solventless Extracts crafts expert-quality rosin, dry sift, bubble hash and more, while their Skynn topicals and Cannalicious edibles are both loved by their Vernon patients. All of MMJ Total Health Care’s cannabis products undergo in-house lab testing.

Cash, credit card and debit card transactions are welcome at MMJ Total Healthcare, and online ordering and shipping are available to patients in Vernon and across Canada.
